Ambassadors' Report
3 classes visited the British Library, to meet the fascinating author, film writer and director; Paul Bryers, on Monday 20th June.
Paul Bryers shared with us his epic journey to Finland and his unique experience around the country. He had a tour around Dracula’s home, where he got his idea for Kobal.
We interviewed Paul:
Q. What inspired you to become an author?
A. I lived in a rough place in Liverpool,. Children from my class would bully me because of my posh accent, since I went to elocution lessons. I also would get into fights so I would escape by reading quietly.
Q. Are you thinking about writing a new series? If yes, what will the books be about?
A. I will not, because Kobal was a great success, however, the rest of the series was not, because when the other books came out, children were a different age, so the books no longer suited them; making me dissatisfied.
Everyone enjoyed the event, and Paul kindly gave each an autograph!
