Paul Duffield

Paul Duffield is an illustrator and animator who lives and works in Oxford. He has many influences, but manga and European comics are a big influence on his illustration style. After getting a degree in animation he went on to win both Tokyopop's Rising Stars of Manga and the International Manga and Anime Festival grand prizes. His first full length comic was an adaptation of William Shakespeare's The Tempest for SelfMadeHero's Manga Shakespeare series, although he is better known now for his collaboration with the writer Warren Ellis on Freak Angels, which is published by Avatar Press.
