Bhavit has previously worked as a children’s publisher, translator, festival director and literature programmer on international projects. Between 2010 and 2014 Bhavit co-directed the South Asian Literature Festival in London while also working closely with the International Board on Books for Young People, English PEN, and the British Centre for Literary Translation. In recent years Bhavit has worked with UK and international writers while working for the British Council and the Commonwealth Foundation.
Bhavit loves children’s books, stories and illustrations from around the world and the role they play in improving literacy, understanding other cultures and feeding the imagination.
