Cynthia Davis

Board Chair

Cynthia V Davis is the founder and Chief Executive of diversity and inclusion consultancy firm, BAME Recruitment, and has over 18 years’ experience at senior level, with a specialism in identifying diverse talent and understanding their barriers. Cynthia has worked within and recruited for some of the best known corporate, public and private sector along with third sector organisations for Senior Executive positions up to Board Level where she continues to challenge the status quo. She sits on executive recruitment panels as an independent advisor to help facilitate an unbiased recruitment process.

Cynthia strives to create a positive impact from diversity and inclusion initiatives and has written articles for the Voice Newspaper, LGBT History Month and Black History Month. Her company, BAME Recruitment, is a Brand Partner of Women in the City, working together to empower the next generation of female leaders across all sectors.

As a mother, Cynthia is also passionate about giving back to the community and is a mentor to young adults (aged 11-18) via the Stephen Lawrence Trust Mentorship Programme, as well as a public speaker committed to improving equal opportunities for people from all walks of life. She has won numerous awards and received both national and international recognition for her entrepreneurship and determination to champion and campaign for a fairer and just society. She is a fellow of St George’s College Leadership Fellowship, Windsor.
