Annette has 30 years’ experience as a learning professional in the heritage sector, including Learning & Access Manager at the Foundling Museum. She specialises in the development and delivery of formal learning programmes and projects. Most recently, for specialist publisher Beyond Words Annette was training special school teachers in visual literacy skills and how to use wordless story books to support the individual development of pupils with learning disabilities.

Before joining Pop Up, Jamie worked at Save the Children UK and Barnardo’s raising and managing significant funding for national and local children’s education projects.
Having completed a BA and an MA in English Literature at the University of Leeds, Jamie has always been passionate about stories and storytelling – and their ability to create opportunities and possibilities for anyone, particularly when it comes to representation and perspectives. He also tries to write children’s books in his spare time!

Lauren has experience in public, arts, culture, business, community and academic settings. With over 10 years experience in event management, she is passionate about sharing her love of reading and has experience engaging many different groups and individuals locally and abroad.
Ibrahim Zanta is the Pathways Project Manager, based at Pop Up and House of Illustration. Previously, he worked in news and media broadcast co-ordinating and project production, including internationally. He currently volunteers for the British-Yemeni Society. He has a BA in Arabic and Politics from SOAS and was twice elected as Student Representative, which included initiating a campaign to tackle sexism, misogyny, and poor pastoral support.

Seán’s background is in the arts, education and events producing. He’s a programmer with the BFI London Film Festival, and programmes and producers GAZE: Dublin International LGBT Film Festival, and Fringe! Queer Film and Arts Fest. He’s pleased to be working with Pop Up – a truly collaborative and people-driven organisation, where the goal is to inspire a love of learning, open minds and bring people together through a shared love of reading.
