Pop Up Festival at Home

This summer, 6-22 August, we are offering a set of free workshops and activities. These come from some of the best children’s authors to help you to make the most of the #SummerOfReading!

On Pop Up Hub this summer, you can watch over 20 free video workshops. They feature stories, interviews, art and craft activities, writing tips and challenges, and more. You can choose from content suitable for 4-16 year olds.

Authors featured include:

  • Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler, The Gruffalo
  • Andy Stanton, the Mr Gum series
  • A. M. Dassu, Boy, Everywhere
  • Sophie Anderson, The House with Chicken Legs

You can see even more of the amazing range of workshops available in the slideshow at the bottom of the page.

All of the content was created during Pop Up Festival Presents in June. Our wildly successful live-streamed festival saw over 46,000 teachers and pupils take part. If you missed out in June, this is the perfect opportunity to see what all the excitement was about!

Some of the workshops offer a sneak peek of our 10 Stories to Make a Difference collection, available to buy now in our shop!

Pop Up Festival at Home is available on Pop Up Hub, our online platform. Hub features an amazing collection of children’s literature, information about authors and resources and activities to try. There is even a Showroom, where you can upload your work for all the world to see.

We would like to thank Peter Sowerby Foundation and the Arts Council for making these incredible resources possible.
