Arts Award and Artsmark

We can support teachers to help pupils gain nationally recognised Arts Awards qualifications and a prestigious Artsmark for their school.

Pop Up is an Arts Award Centre and an Artsmark Partner. Through participating in our inspiring education programme, pupils can work towards an Arts Award and schools can progress in their Artsmark journey, celebrating a commitment to creative education.

Arts Award

We can support your school to offer children and young people aged 5-25 the chance to achieve Arts Award, a nationally recognised qualification, at any level. We can arrange training for your staff to become Arts Award Advisers, to offer effective support to pupils/students working towards awards.

  • Taking part in our education programme provides evidence for pupils’/students’ portfolios as they work towards Arts Awards
  • Children aged 5-12 can use our literature-specific scrapbooks, beautifully illustrated by children’s author David Lucas, to help them to achieve the Discover or Explore levels. Download them for free below, or get in touch to order printed copies. We also create bespoke plans and resources to support teachers/tutors and students to achieve Bronze, Silver and Gold awards.

We can support schools on their Artsmark journey, whether they are just starting or working towards the next level. Participating in our education offers, which connect pupils and teachers with writers and illustrators, can provide evidence for all 7 of the Artsmark Quality Principles. Our CPD and Consultancy support schools to use literature and encounters with role models strategically to further pupils’ holistic development. Our Evaluation Toolkit helps to track impact and map Artsmark journeys over time. We can support turning this data into recommendations for your Statement of Commitment, and evidencing your Statement of Impact.
