Maddy Sutherland

Bio- Maddy is an illustrator and designer, she was born in London, raised in York, and now lives in the North East of Scotland. She completed a Foundation in Art & Design at Leeds College of Art, and a BA in Illustration at the University of Dundee. In 2014 she won D&AD’s Inbook award, and in 2017 she won runner up in the Prince’s Trust Tomorrow’s Talent competition.

She loves running, cats, and monsters. She also enjoys stories, creating new things in different ways, and discovering small and overlooked details. She occasionally finds herself on intrepid misadventures, but, to date, still lives to tell the tales.

Her favourite influences include Wolf Erlbruch, Mr. Motivator, Guillermo Del Toro, Shigeru Miyamoto, and the Brig O Balgownie (she could list more, but she’s running out of words).
