Mary Hutchison

Mary is a Scottish illustrator working in publishing, editorial illustration, teaching and learning. She combines fine art, montage and digital techniques and thrives on creative relationships with designers, writers and subject experts.

She is interested in sustainability, remaking and reuse, growing and cooking, history and archaeology, and the natural world. Her aim is to help children and young people learn about ourselves, our communities and our wider world in a fun and engaging way.

When not at her desk you’ll often find Mary tending the allotment where she grows her own food, foraging in the urban jungle, or baking bread.
