Sarah Ling
Sarah’s illustration style is all about the pencil line. She loves the smudgy marks of a soft pencil and tries to keep that quality in her final images. Although she was always drawing, Sarah began her journey with a doctorate in modernist literature and visual cultures. This training has been foundational and provides rich subjects for her art: her inspiration often comes from things she’s read, whether poetry, psychoanalysis or ancient myths.
Sarah is also a secondary school English teacher and has become passionate about children’s publishing since becoming a mother.
